Is it just me or everyone else too? It always seems the most interesting and super grain and figure is in with the most screwed up section of the piece.
I had my cuts figured out so that I would just barely miss the spots where the corner was gone and it had a couple of large cracks. But when I squared the far end up there was some checking that went into the piece by a couple of inches that I couldn’t see. So rather than just missing the bad spot I’m now about 2 inches into it.
Now I’m re-constructing the corner. We’ll see it it worked when the clamps come off tomorrow. It will still need some extra inlays. [eek]
