Anybody know anything about WIKII Tools?  I was just looking for a replacement battery for my CXS and came across them.  They show the 500243 replacement battery for $43.60 while every other place I find it shows it for $73.  Looking around on their site, they list 576098, the entire CXS drill in a systainer for only $114.

Sounded too good to be true to me.  It looks like they claim to be either representing Acme Tools or somehow affiliated with them.  I talked to a friend who just recently retired from Acme Tools and he's never heard of them.

They offer PayPal as a method of purchasing so I figured I'd try to order both the drill set and a couple of replacement batteries.  The site wouldn't allow that stating purchases must be no more than $199, so I removed one of the batteries from the order.  Going through checkout, I chose PayPal as my method of purchase and went to the PayPal site to authorize the deal.  It then showed the payment going to "an individual", not to a company.  And the individual was listed as receiving a friends and family transfer.

At that point, I cancelled the PayPal transaction.

Curious if anyone has ever heard of them before.  And even more interested if anyone has tried ordering anything from them.

If it is a scam as I think it is, it is an elaborate one that has had a lot of work going into the website.

A heads up to all and hopefully someone can add additional information for our edification.

"Three Easy Ways to Order:
Online, Catalog, Retail

We offer three convenient ways for you to order. You can order from us online, call toll-free, or by visiting one of our 10 locations in the Upper Midwest."

I'm unable to find the address on its website or by Google of any of its retail stores.

The "About Us" page states Wikii Tools has been in business since 1990, but the website has been in existence since last month and the domain is registered in Iceland.  Further down in the About Us page, Item 6 states the family owned business is "Buy Acme Tools".

It appears to be a scam website to me.

Zero hits for that address in Google Maps. On some of those "Too good to be true" sites, put in the address then check out Street View. Often times, it's a house in a random area, or even a blank lot. This one didn't even go that far.

I did the same thing after failing to find any of its retail locations, and noted about other businesses using the same address.

These days, I don't deal with any online tool stores that are unknown, and there were several of them with a .ca address that I came across last week when trying to find some items. I'm more comfortable with online stores that have a physical retail presence even if it's not in my province.

I just talked to the local Acme Tool store about it and the said their corporate knows about it, has no affiliation with it and is in the process of removing all Acme Tool references.

The individual I talked with stated that individuals are coming into the store and expecting those prices from that website.
