My daughter Margaret has an artistic and musical talent (though we don't know where the heck from). A year ago, she made guitar out of candy for her boyfriend Quin. At her high school's art show in June, she presented her various sketches and drawings along with this guitar. At the show, along comes a neighborhood woman who inquires about the guitar. She mentions that she would like to buy it for Carlos Santana, yep, thee guitar legend, as his birthday is coming up. She knows Carlos because her husband is a musician traveling in the same circles. Of course, my daughter was ecstatic. Yet, since that guitar was about a year old, she decided to make a new one, modeling it on one of Santana's own guitars.
New guitar made, presented to the buyer, who shipped this from NJ to his Santana's California home, where this picture was taken. I think he likes it.
Well, it's funny (if that's the correct word) how things can happen, how sometimes random events turn into a perfect storm of sorts.
