We've just made an offer on a house, and have had it accepted!!!  :)

The best part is, it's got a big*, dry, warm basement with separate access from outside, so I'll finally have my own workshop ;D ;D ;D

Can't wait! Now I've got an excuse to buy a couple of MFT's - shame I can't afford them now, though :( Still, there's lots to do in the house I'll simply have to buy new Festools to do....

*big by my standards, anyway

Did you say warm basement? Good for you!

Remember to post pictures (of the basement, not the rest of the house)!

That is good news. Now, when you go for mortgage, add in 5 or 10 thou and buy your Festools. Move into house and have a ready to use woodshop.

Way to go Jonny!
It's about time you got a little elbow room to work with. I can't wait to see what projects you can come up with, time and space permitting.

A word of advice on your new shop...
Work on getting the walls insulated, electrical outlets intalled, and pegboard up (if needed) before you start moving tools and equipment in. Otherwise, you will just have to move all your stuff out to work on those things later, then move it all back in when you are finished in one area at a time.
I just recently worked on my walls in my shop. I had to move everything out on a Friday, work on the shop all weekend, then move everything back in on a sunday every weekend for about 2 months. It was like moving 3 or 4 small houses all together.
It also burned away a lot of time for my projects that I needed to be working on.

Best of luck in your new place

Greg

Congratulations!
We're on opposite sides of the planet, and we're doing the same thing! We bought last month, we close Dec. 14th, and I've got  my choice of areas as well.

I agree with doing all the stuff before you move in. I hung plaster and painted in the rental house garage before our stuff arrived and I'm glad I did. I've done nothing since and I enjoy it more.
