Wood Systainer

Does anyone have 1) a source for the metal locking clips, or 2) the ability to cut them on a CNC machine? I'd buy at least one pair!

Here is the Wood Systainer Plan dowloaded from Festool Germany.
Does anyone know if we have a right to use these plans to fabricate some ourselves. I have a cousin who's company fabricates carbon fibre sheets and tape and has offered to help me build one of these Systainer's. Please advise. Thanks.

Correction - you can't make JUST ONE in Carbon Fiber. There would be a palace mutiny to take it off your hands!

[eek]

I'm visualising a pair of carbon fibre Systainer side panniers on the back of an MV Augusta [cool]

with polished S/S t lock catch .and leather insert  [cool]

Peter as a moderator can I ask if Shane is the best person to see if permission can be given to share this on the FOG from Festool Germany? Don't want to add to his work load if there is a more appropriate person to ask.

Andrew, you're welcome to share anything posted on any of the Festool Facebook pages. In this case, we do not own the intellectual rights to the photo, which was provided by someone else. But, as part of the public domain, I would think it's fine to share it elsewhere without any licensing or other concerns.

Fantastic post.  Thanks for sharing.  It looks wonderful.

I don't want to muck things up but my concern was that the plan is not on Facebook,FB contained a link to the plans were on Festool Germanys site for which you need to be a registered user. (for some reason Australia is not considered part of that general area) My hope was (is) that your parent company would be happy to have it posted on the FOG. All that said I quickly downloaded a copy when neeleman put it up here :)

I'm resurrecting this ancient thread to see if anyone has a valid link to the pdf of these plans.  It looks like they've since disappeared from the site.

The PDF in [member=7673]neeleman[/member] 's post is still available & downloadable:https://www.festoolownersgroup.com/festool-and-tanos-systainers/wood-systainer/msg327389/#msg327389

And the link, directly above your post is also still working. It will download a *.zip file containing the plans.

Here it is again:http://www.bm-online.de/wp-content/...e=google&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=woodbox

Here's the corresponding article, in German obviously:https://www.bm-online.de/inspiration/projekte-wettbewerbe/praktisch-fuer-die-ewigkeit/

There is also, in red, a link to the very same *.zip file.

All safe & secure at the time of this post.

Kind regards,
Oliver
