I tried... to do a cut-n-paste of the email I received, but that didn't work so well.  So below is the text portion of the email.

Good luck.

Uncle Earl's Soap for Machinists
If you do any kind of woodwork, remodeling or machine work, you need this stuff. Yes I know, why soap? Simple, during the process of machining all Woodpeckers tools, we get dry, cracked skin. This is as common with woodworkers as machinists.

When we started using Uncle Earl's Soap for Machinists, we quickly realized that it does what it says. It not only cleans away dirt and grease, it also coats the skin with a protective layer to minimize further damage from the harsh conditions typical found in workshops.

Kreg Drawer Slide Mounting Tool
Three hands and a remotely operated screw driver would be the ultimate drawer slide installation tool. Another alternative is this installation aid made by Kreg Tool that pretty much serves the same purpose. It's designed to support, orient and position your side or bottom mount drawer slide while you install the screws.

David
How do you like using the Gliderite drawer slides?  I am making a bunch of garage cabinets.  New to all this so could use some recommendations.  Some drawers will house tools so some weight in those.  Other drawers will just have rulers/measuring stuff in them.  The cabinets are 21" in depth overall, using 1/4'' back on cabinet.  I planned on using a face frame on front of cabinets.  Was looking at the 2070zc and 1870zc slides. Thanks for any help.

Suds,

I have used the Gliderite #70 Series slides in several applications.  I have had no problem with them, even after several years of use.  In my case, I mounted the slides on the sides of the cabinets in a frameless design.  When using these slides on a face frame cabinet, you might want to use shims glued to the insides of the cabinet, to mount the slides even with the inside opening of the face frame.  Good luck.

Rear sockets won't solve the problem at the front. You need to shim out to be flush with face frame then you could use the rear brackets. I never do. I just do as David suggested.

Got mine today, really nice glides.  How do you seperate them so I can mount them on each side?  Been fiddling with everything I can think of to get them apart.

There is a black plastic lever on the front (drawer) piece of the glide.  Pull the slide until it hits the stop, and then move the lever up or down as you pull the two pieces apart.
