Very nice, but now I'll have to order another OTT so I can still have something to anticipate.

I'd love to know the real numbers behind this entire one time tool thing ... for me it has set my opinion in a manner that effectively ignores anything Woodpecker ... for others it must drive purchases.

I do need a decent compass and was thinking Veritas ..

I like the Woodpecker (WP) financial model. The up front commitment from buyers of one time tools has to help reduce WP need for bank loans or, at least, reduce the interest rate. That helps the company and its customers in many ways.

I buy nice shotguns from a Connecticut company that uses a similar model. You pay 100% up front and get a discount and preferred shipping.

Think Starrett, they're a real pleasure to use and I say that in all seriousness. They have a fine adjustment knob that allows you to sneak up on a dimension a few thousandths at a time. The legs are interchangeable so you can use lead pencils, wax pencils or a steel scribe for use on metal and when using Dykem.

I bought mine when it came out and haven't had the chance to use it until this past weekend.
I LOVE it!!!!  I may never use a traditional compass again.
Using the graduated marks on it, i was able to lay out perfect holes without needing to screw around with a tape measure or rule.
I highly recommend one!!!!

Thanks.  I just didn't know if you'd ordered from a vendor or what.  I guess I'll have to contact Woodpeckers.
