I've got the metric equivalent and though it was expensive to get it shipped to the UK (plus the rip off taxes) it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Sweet.  It appears the Squares are starting to trickle out into the world.  Did you order directly from Woodpeckers?

I ordered mine from Tool Nut.  [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] , any idea when you guys will be receiving a batch to fulfill orders?

I ordered direct on launch day....

Crazy, I have not even recieved my Paolini rules yet. I wonder if my squares will show up first?

Yes, you'll receive the square before the Paolini rules. I received my 18" square (already own the 26" item) last week and like Malte, I ordered the square from Woodpeckers on the 1st day of the announcement.

I missed the original ordering deadline and am hoping some buyers back out so i can get one. It's been debated to death about the one-time tools, but I feel these squares should be all the time tools. A lot of the one-time tools are rather esoteric and I see why they are one-time, but squares core woodworking tools with uses beyond woodworking.

About 4 years ago I also missed the deadline for a OTT. When I knew Woodpeckers was shipping product, I contacted either Richard or Bryan and stated that if there were any extras available, I'd be interested. I received an e-mail a few days later stating that a couple of items were unspoken for.
It's worth a try. [big grin]

I use my Woodpeckers  "framing square" a lot. I'm making some jewelry boxes for a few friends out of some highly figured Walnut with Ebony trim. The mitered sides were slightly off. My framing square verified my miter gauge had somehow gotten out of true by a few degrees. Adjusted the gauge, again using the square, and the recuts on the miters were perfect.
