    Interesting product. Personally I don't want my fingers that close to the bit in a router table. Yes, it works fine if being careful and paying attention, and yes a user should always be paying attention. But at around the one minute mark in the video on the final pass , a little slip or moment of inattentiveness , miss the indent of the radius template and all it takes is about 1" of movement to lose fingers tips. I am sure others won't mind the proximity to the bit, just not for me thanks.

    BTW lets not make this into a topic on Woodpecker's OTT and business model. Plenty of debate threads on that for any interested already.

I understand your concern and I always error on the side of safety. Point in fact, I usually rip lumber on the band saw leaving just a little extra and then do the final rip on the table saw so as to not have the kerf close back in on the blade. Safety first [big grin]

Woodpeckers suggest you remove any excess material and then only remove the final .030-.060"(1/32"- 1/16") of material with the jig in place. From my experience in patching 3/4" hardwood floors, this minimal amount of material removal doesn't present itself to be a safety hazard. However as you suggest, a person needs to constantly focus on what they're doing and a lack of concentration could prove to be painful.  [2cents]

I agree, which is why I always cut way back on the whiskey when using these jigs.
