Workbench height question

I have found that it depends on the type of work you plan on doing on the bench.  In my case I have different benches for planing / routing tasks and sanding / general work. For planing / routing , l like it to be just below the bend of my elbow.  For sanding / general work,  I like it at a bit lower than the middle of my forearm.  And if I'm hanging doors I had an adjustable bench that would allow me to change the height of the door edge relative to the width of the door.  Have to build a new one,  someone else liked it too. I am only 5' 9, so give you a number for the height wouldn't work out for you at 6' 5. Hope it helps,  B
