So... You can say I jumped into the  Festool thing head first. Ha! I picked up the 1400 router last year then over the last month got the CMS table, MFT 3, CT 26, RO 150 and the Domino 500. These tools helped me achieve my March goal of a table/built-in for my kitchen for the wife. Festool has also helped me achieve other goals for work more efficiently. Here's my table/ built-in I built from sapele mahogany, maple and birch ply-wood. Every tool was used for cuts, datos, cope and stick to dominos for the counter top and frames.  This was my first built-in type project. I plan on using these tools a lot more in the future.

Now, I just need to get a ts55. Been using my brothers for the last year or so. Tapped since these last purchases....

Ps- I plan on adding barstool chairs.. Just can't find the ones my wife and I can agree on!

First, welcome to the FOG!
Nice work on the table.  Now you need to convince the wife you need tools so you can build her more stuff.

Thank you for the compliments Bill and Brice!

The wife has no idea how much these tools cost... would have been way cheaper to have someone else build it, for the first project anyhow. I can justify the cost with additional projects around the home and work.

Next up, built-ins (desk/wardrobe) for the kids rooms.

Welcome to FOG and nice work on the table.  Sapele is a wonderful wood and I like how you combined it with the painted base.  I also found it interesting to adapt the design over the baseboard radiator.  I might have to borrow that on a future project as we have those in our home as well.

All you have to do is build more items like that and you have all the proof you need with your wife -

She will realize the benefit of 'hand made' and 'custom' - and the investments in time and tools to bring them to life-  Make some toys with your son and he will help in the 'wife conversion mission!'

Thanks for sharing -

neil

Thank you Neil! Im glad to see you like it and may utilize the design.

Agreed on other projects and justification. The wife loves it!

Once my son gets older, I can't wait to have him start using my tools with me.
