Wow, that looks like a neat invention to save fingers.  Is there less chance of an accident because festool uses a riving knife?

Can't say I've had anything even close to significant kickback on my TS55 or HKC.

The closest the TS55 gets is when I've plunged it too fast.

Seems unnecessary with a track saw as the chance of kickback is greatly reduced with the cut line guaranteed to be straight. I can see the need on a non-track circular saw. I've had more than one kickback with those.

There already is a perfectly fine anti kickback solution for circular saws, it's called a riving knife.
