2,000th post and wanted to say THANKS!!!

I figured that the perfect use for my 2000th post would be to say THANKS to all of the people who make the FOG a great place to hang out, learn, and be inspired.

First, a special shout-out to Shane, Peter Halle, and Seth for their seemingly tireless efforts at keeping the FOG on topic, and carefully balancing the urge to lock or delete certain posts with the tolerance they typically display. Been there, done that - and it's NEVER easy.

I have also had interaction with DOZENS of Festooligans like me, and some of you I now count as friends although I've not (YET!) met you in person. I have never felt that way about another online community - the FOG is a very special place indeed!

But mostly I appreciate the opportunity to feel like I am a part of a vibrant, dynamic, and extremely talented group of people. I am constantly inspired (and often humbled) by the projects and skills I see posted here. Almost every post seems to challenge or interest me in some way.

So, THANK YOU to everyone who posts and makes this a fun and interesting place to hang out!

Amen to that!  The workhorses/cowboys behind the scene.  And in our usual midst at what is the better times.

The dedication and time it takes to take on those roles is a true commitment.  If you've never been a forum staff member on an active forum, you would be surprised what goes on behind the scenes that you never see.  A heck of a lot of labour in relation to what is just like the old adage "Tip on the Iceberg" sorta analogy.

As you said to me when I recently noted my 1000th, yes we do owe so much to Shane, Peter and Seth, and our fellow FOG members.

I note that you do approx 6 post per day to my 2, and I am trying even harder to restrain and not react to everything I read, rather to what is really significant. I advise[size=14pt] that you DO NOT follow my lead, [size=12pt]as I really enjoy your wit, information and the colour (Green) of your life's day to day experiences.  [smile]

I *DO* try to have fun when I post, and to bring a little levity where appropriate. And I also *DO* find so much to be interesting to me that I sometimes actually TRY to limit the number of my posts.

I know, I know - hard to believe, right?
