Well I read everything I could find. I am incorporating things from everyone here and other sites as well.  I have been at this for 3 short days and I don't have lot accomplished so far haha. Actually I can not even understand the time I am spending!  I am a carpenter, but surely not a cabinet maker ;)  I had some thoughts going into the build, but some things are seat of the pants. THAT is taking extra time!  It is kinda a slow time here for me right now, and the weather is decent. I am taking the time to make this fun.  [tongue]  Every day I think of new ways to torture myself on this build!  Today I spent a bunch of time looking for attachment points.  I figured that Ford built these wagon or van the same and that there should be captive nuts for seat belts it a van.  I was correct. Took off the protective panels that I paid dearly for and found the fasten points.  Now I just have to identify the size and pitch of the thread. !!  But I have every one of the points accessible now.

stupid progress pictures so far.  Glad I am not paying me to do this!

I've had my Transit for a few months now and love it. I've drawn up plans  (I am a cabinet maker!) but I've gotten nothing done. Keep posting and perhaps you'll push me to make the time to git er dun!

Wow! That's a big truck…. Is that a door between the cargo area and the front? I guess that says something about the size of the truck as well…  [big grin]

Enjoy your build! Looking forward to more pictures.  [popcorn]

yes that is a sliding door on the bulkhead. I wanted it for safety, and picked the top of the line. It was really $$ but I think it will be worth it in the end with the quality.  Ford was giving away UPTO 1500 in "upfitter" money to commercial customers, and since I had no real use for the steel shelves so many Vans had, I pretty much used the entire amount on that bulkhead/ door.  If I had bought a cheaper door the money would have just been lost. So wth right?  They were not willing to pay for materials to build my own shelves  :P

This will hold 6 drawers that hold my dewalt box's of fasterners, I should be able to access at least the bottom 3 from the ground. Heavy duty over extension slides were ordered.

have one solid shelf installed for stabilization, the rest will be movable using the 32mm holes and shelf supports, and pocket screws

This is really a struggle, lol I know I am making way too much work out of this, but meh its kinda fun.

It's never too much work if you enjoy yourself and the final result will serve you well for many years.

That's a nice slider!  That's the Ranger model right?  I priced that out and I know you spent most of that upfit allowance on that!

yes, thats a ranger.  1427.00  stupid money. but I still left upfit money on the table.  [crying]  It really is that nice.  If I did not have that upfit money I doubt I would have spent that green though.

Some progress pictures
Gotta go make some money next week so the process will be on hold, lots of time, incredible amounts actually lol

I have the back fitted to access from the street, and the side fitted to get at the hardware store.  the flush panels inside are by design, as when I do a remodel, I get nasty crap in the truck I haul away so I wanted a place it could not get all over my tools

I intend to put more divider shelves where the festools are, and fit out the large pocket in back of them when I have some more time

Love that idea with the pull out, Well done!

My Son thinks I should get a "wrap" of that picture on the back of the truck to dissuade the low low life's.  And yes I know the shelves are crooked on the pax side, I put them in there on the quick and temporary until I have the time to get at building the pull outs, had I known it would have bothered me that much I would have taken more time, heck I may change the temporary position it bugs me that much haha
