Hey Foggers. I need some help with an adapter issue. I have a 36 AC which I use with a planex. I also have a DTS 400 delta sander which I want to use with the 36 to sand the corners of drywall. The 36 AC has a special hose to work with the planex. I called festool to locate the correct part no for any adapters so I could use this hose with my track saw as well as the delta sander. The track saw can accept the 36mm connector on the outside and the 27mm on the inside. The delta sander can only accept the 27mm on the outside.
According to festool, the special plnex hose (which has the nubs on the exterior to connect to the planex is a 36mm hose so it will fit on the outside of the track saw. They also advised me that there is no adapter to allow you to connect a 36mm hose to a 27mm tool. In essence, you have to buy a separate 27mm hose. That did not make any sense to me.
Is anyone aware of any adapter which allows to conect a 27mm tool to 36mm hose?
I have seem some videos which people force the 27mm end into the 36mm hose as the 36 mm is rubber. I expect that would eventually wear out the 36mm end. Thanks!
