Hello @all,

is there somebody, who has a 3d-step-model of the systainers in all dimensions? Or a 3d-Model for solidworks? I've tried to export the models from Sketchup, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Thank you for your help.

Regards,
Christian

Sketchup is pretty much a standalone thing whose files work with nothing else.

But if you have all the dimensions I have no problem modelling it in SW. Perhaps invite [member=1146]Brice Burrell[/member] , since he seems to have made the most realistic model (in Sketchup).

Try this thread and maybe PM the member who drew the model.

Those where done in Solidworks, not SketchUp.
So exactly what [member=63069]Christian24[/member] is looking for
My mistake. For some reason I read "step" models as "sketchup" models. Yea that thread does show a guy who made the models in Solidworks, however he is trying to make money off of them and not giving them away for free. So if youre willing to pay for them great. Otherwise its not a resource of such models.

If you want to measure them, I can model them for you  [wink]

Or ask Tanos for a SW model. There are a lot of other products where manufacturers provide free CAD models so end-users can implement it in assemblies and larger models. Especially technical components like bearings, air cilinders, etc; all free to download from manufacturer. Sometimes after free registration. I never got any spam mail from any of these registrations at (mostly) German manufacturers.

I was at a trade show, and there was a manufacturer of hinges etc, that handed out CD's full with CAD models of their entire line up.  [big grin]
