I bought my first Festool's, (CT-22 and RO125) initially for a project at my house and many,many other Festool's since then......

I still don't have that project done at home yet. [big grin]

I bought my first Festool tools Feb. 2008 also. A C12 kit and 2007 Centrotec set. Damn addiction!

It's kind of funny -- I cannot remember what I did yesterday but for some reason I remember my first Festool purchase (August 2009 for me with a TS75...and then shortly thereafter a CT22 and Rotex 150.  ;D

It was a balmy summers day 2008 when my Rep came into the workshop and said, hey, you seen these Festool TS55 in action  [eek]. Like a shot of class A through my veins  [blink]

I got rid of all my power tools in dived head long into the deepend in October 2008.. there was no going back.. I started with

-PS300 + CMS unit
-TS55 + CMS Unit + 2x 1.4m rails
-OF1400 + CMS Unit
-MFS
-MFT/3 + VL CMS Extension
-850 Planer
-C12 + Centrotec Set
-D500 Domino plus domino systainer set

have since added 2 x CTL36, VAC-SYS, RO90, T15, CXS, OF2200, OF1100

Its a terrible addiction... I need help!

It is better than the bottle! Put the bottle down October 2010, got addicted to FESTOOL November 2010. Never gonna look back!! And the FOG folks are great therapy as well.

I think it was early 2010 or late 2009 when I bought a CT22 and a RO125. What's scary is that I have so many festools now and the warranty is still valid on all of them!

I bought my first TS55 and Guide Rail with a Midi in July of 2008 and after that first sip it was Go Green all the wayfor me.

I started my slippery slide in 2008 when I saw the kitchen installation guy use a Precisio 70 and C12 to finish the cupboards and took my first sip of cool-aid in spring 2010 when I bought an OF1400 to run some grooves into garden gates I built. Since I've acquired an TS55 + 1400 rail and currently bidding for a CTL 26 extractor  [thumbs up]

Also did a diagram last night on what all I still want and the list is near endless starting from an MFT/3 + MFT-VL after I secure the extractor and then CMS-inserts for the OF & TS and ... Needed to print it out in A3 to be able to read the text... [drooling]

I tucked a CT Mini and an ET150/5 in the shed many years ago. Hadn't been doing anything ... dug the Hitachi compound mitre saw out round September last year to do a little work and it didn't want to go (yes, could have just been the brushes) ... so then it started - with a KAPEX + UG set. Since then I've probably brought a new Festool most weeks. The collection is several stacks of sustainers, all taller than me.

I started in April 2008 with a PS300 and loved it and still do. I resisted anything else till April 2011 having convinced myself that I was getting by fine with my Dewalt skill and a straight edge followed by a router to clean it up. Then I took the plunge and got a TS55, CT26 and EHL65. That's when the addiction really kicked in. I've spent loads on systainers and sortainers too in the last year. Plus just got the parallel guides and guide rail kit though I haven't had a chance to play with them yet other than a quick go on site after I unpacked them. Next on my hitlist is the Rotex 150 though that could change by the next time I'm flush. I also fancy the Protool PDC-18/4.

I invited the Festool area rep to come to the shop where I was working in 2003 after attending the Woodworking Show.  The shop owner loved the tools, but never did buy into the Festool line, largely because the crews abused tools so badly and often "lost" certain tools.  I was finally in a position to start buying my own late in 2009, and the slope has only gotten more slippery since.  (That was some really good green Kool Aid...)
