6/1/12 Who is a happy new owner of Domino XL or the Syslite

My work partner doesnt get it either.
Festool makes the best stuff period. If you can afford one and can put it to use, why wouldnt you buy Festool?

They have taken care of any and all problems I have had with their tools and im sure they will backup the lite just as well.
Having been through what I have with Festool, I would be an idiot not to buy one? Makes more sense than using those halogens
that make us sweat and are always blowing bulbs!.

So I get this light in the mail today and what do I find, It is amazing, awesome and probably one of the brightest light I have ever used.

I would never believe I would spend this amount of money on something like this but again the Festool Cool Aid has come thru and now I am thinking of buying another to keep with me when I am working in the bottom of a bilge in a boat.

I have to say thank you Festool for an unexpected suprise in this light

Sal

Sal, I was down on the CT shore lastnight and I saw that amazing glow across the Long Island Sound...thought it was a UFO but now I realize it was only you!

Eco. I hear you its just that i have been fine with two $25 models for a decade and I cant wrap my head around why I need such an expensive light. I would rather spend my money on other Festools, which I own most of already.
Bob, Aliens do exist and if you dont believe me watch an Ancient Aliens marathon and you'll be sold,. Eric

I picked up the Domino XL, the 14mm cutter, and 12 and 14mm cut-to-length tenons.  Unfortunately, it was released about three weeks too late to be used on this table so it's sitting in my shop gathering dust right now.  I haven't even opened the box yet.

I'm an ancient aliens geek / fan boy through and through.  I spent saturday night watching "Fire in the Sky" scaring myself to you know what.

Having got my syslite and playing with it, after mounting it on my tripod i was wishing there was a way to mount my camera to the top of the syslite. [big grin]

And then I realized if there was a mounting hole on the top, you would be able to chain a bunch of syslites together.  ;D

Sal,

I volunteered once and had a fantastic time.  [thumbs up]  Of course the time and aging since has helped erode the bumpy spots.  [popcorn]

You will do great!  Thanks Buddy for being up to the challenge!

Peter

Received my Domino XL today along with my boxes of Festool supplies [big grin]  I'm almost finished with the pair of Mahogany Night Stands and then I'll break out the XL for some serious mortising!
