$99 PRO 5 Sander Promotion + $50 Voucher - New Festool REQ Sanders (US)

Being it's a limited time offer, is it a first come first serve offer?  Or are there enough sanders at this price to go around?

[member=40343]Tyler Ernsberger[/member], no idea to be honest. I doubt Festool will share this information. Hopefully, there will be enough to cover preorders through 11/1. But, this is a smokin' deal.

Ordered one, no need for it, but the cord and systainer are worth buying it.

Judging from the tread in couple months we'll see a lot of ETS125 PRO 5 e-bay offerings.  [big grin]
Anyway, are there half-off plans for Domino XL in blue systainer any time soon?

It has me wondering why the offer is so good, and if there would be others.  I wonder if Festool is testing out a lower cost / higher volume strategy, or possibly quarterly outstanding deals to get new customers hooked ("the first one's free").

Just order this  [smile].  Have a ets 150 and ro 90 so this should fit in the middle.  With this deal I figured I could not go wrong.

Just saw the promotion and trying to make up my mind whether I should add this to my lineup.  I have the RO150 and the  RO90 already.  What can I do with this new sander that my current ones can't?  So far the pros I come up with are: shorter stroke, smaller size overall, voucher, low price.  The cons that come to mind:  not as versatile as those I have already, big outlay for new size consumables, not as powerful.  Can someone throw in a few points I have not thought of?--part of me still wants to get this.  Thanks
. I CAN answer this as the 5" inch sander is the last of Festool's line of sanders for me to finally buy into.  I held off buying any 5"/125mm sander from them since I had multiple 6"/150mm sanders already and all the other versions... Planex, RTS, DTS, DX93 etc.
However, for trim work, refinishing doors and assorted Paint work, there were times I was missing  a pad size in between 150mm and 90mm since one was too big and the other too small.
Now with my new version ETS/Pro 5 on order, I get an upgraded sander with more power over the older ETS 125, but the same fine 2mm orbit for Stain Grade work.
The new EC version 5" sander is 3mm, which is finer than 5mm but not a 2mm orbit for final sanding or sanding between coats.
The additional pad protector just adds value for the sander in usage around delicate edges you'd like to avoid slamming into while sanding, say something built-in that's already finished.....

Do you guys charge the credit card now or on November 1st?

[member=41633]Staniam[/member], your credit card is charged when it ships.

If you pay with Paypal, it is billed at the time the order is placed.

SOLD!

Im getting married in 18 days and I would end up on the nightly news as murdered if I spent anything on Festool right now.

I doubt it.  We've seen crazy eddie type pricing on sanders before I think.  Wasn't there giveaway pricing on the ETS150 a few years ago  ???

Could be a nudge to get folks accustomed to the new dust fitting ?

But, judging by the the amount of posts showing up on the splash page's info center I wonder if it's just an attempt to bury all the Kapex motor bashing ?  It's succeeded even if it's not. [eek]

I already own a RO125 and ETS 125 so I surely don't need this. But it's too good a deal to pass up. Ordered one. Maybe I can use one in each hand thereby doubling my productivity. Hmmmm,  I guess I'd need another CT26.....

. You should post your thoughts on a comparison between the old and new version of the ETS 125 for us here on FOG.  As an experienced user, you will have some added value in seeing what's changed.

i just preordered 7 of them.  So I'm under the impression that i will be getting 7 vouchers for $50 each. Can they all be redeemed at the same time for one purchase or do they have to be used 1 at a time ?

I just ordered mine as well.  Waiting for the April Fools joke to come out saying it's really $499. What a smoking deal at $99
