If you successfully placed an order for the Pro 5 sander before sales were suspended, are you guaranteed of receiving your order?

We had submitted our order with Festool prior to the communication asking that orders be suspended. We ordered more than enough inventory to cover all pre-orders. That is all of the information we have at this time. Festool had said they would start shipping these to dealers on Monday, 10/17, in preparation for the official November 1st release date.

Do you think that this might bother some people? You can be looking at the imperial scale, but you can only adjust to an exact imperial measurement using the fine adjust mechanism.

You may have heard that Festool has asked all of their dealers to suspend taking additional orders for the PRO 5 effective Friday, October 7th.

We have received numerous emails and phone call asking when Festool will ship these sanders. Please rest assured, we have ordered more than enough to satisfy all orders placed with us and orders will be processed in the order they were received.

We will keep you informed if any additional information is provided by Festool that may affect your order. You can also find answers to some common questions on our website, which we will keep up-to-update.

[member=59331]TSO Products[/member], it's unclear at this point whether this is a temporary freeze or the end of the promotion. There's been no official statement for the reason for the suspension. There was no "date" to back out of. This was a "while supplies last" promotion.

Just curious [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] if you've received in-house any Pro 5 sanders yet. I read somewhere that Festool was expecting to ship product to their dealers the 2-3rd week of October to ensure the dealers would be able to ship product to customers on the first of November.

I got word last Friday that some blue systainers would be delivered on Monday 24th. So it looks like Festool will be able to meet the initial dates to dealer they were hoping for! Good sign for Pro 5 wanna be owners, lol.

Hmm...interesting that we have Pro 5 product sightings from 2 sources even though one of those acknowledged sightings has been removed. According to Woodcraft and Toolnut, they are unaware of any Pro 5 sightings.

The time is drawing near, the ship date is almost here, this should prove to be interesting.  [popcorn] [popcorn]

We have been notified by Festool that, due to overwhelming demand, we will not be receiving all PRO 5 sanders by the Nov 1st ship date.  But don't sweat!  Your sander is on the way, but at this time we do not have an ETA.  We will immediately communicate additional shipment ETA's in the coming days and weeks as we receive updates. Please note that this inventory shortage affects all Festool dealers, not just The Tool Nut.

As we receive additional inventory, orders will ship in the order they were received.

For those whose orders are affected, please accept our apologies for the delay with your Festool PRO 5 sander order. We will continue to keep you up-to-date with the latest information.

I will be sending an email with this statement to any of our customers who have orders that will be delayed. If you do not receive this email and you ordered from us, your order is scheduled to be shipped on November 1st.

I ordered the new 400 at the same time. Is that going to be delayed also? I intended to use the $50.00 rebate against the 400 but now if it ships on November 1, it may be interpreted as a prior purchase.
