Hi Festool,
The wife gave me the go ahead to purchase a Kapex, Carvex and a 1400OF Router. My question is when do you anticipate any price increases and of the 3 tools listed are there any newer models coming out within the next couple of months. This will complete most of the tools I need for the shop but wanted to ask before I pulled the trigger. I really enjoy your products.

We don't discuss pricing strategies publicly. Sorry.

No new models to the best of my knowledge. We generally see new tools 6-12 months ahead of US launch in Europe.

FWIW, there was a price increase on April 1st of this year. I don't know if there was one the same time the year before, as I've only been a FOGGER for a little over a year?

There is a price increase every year. Always somewhere in the beginning of the new year. When exactly can vary from country to country.

Sometimes the increase is small, other times more significant. Here I've seen the RO 150 go from €545 to €655 in 6 years time.  [scared]

Best bet is to buy before the new year if you want to avoid an increase.

Jeez has life become so expensive.

At that rate after tax by 2025 a sander is gonna cost $1000 after taxes. If so ill be going back to using my hands and commuting via horse and buggy ;)

Yeah, but we were talking about REAL money, not Australian Dollars!

[wink] [poke] [poke] [poke]

price increases are not a bad thing, if you already own the festool collection,
as each price increase passes thru to the used, resale market too, pay up.

with the euro verses the dollar dropping more than 10% since the 2014
price hike, i wonder how much festool could jack up prices. probably the
5-15 buck on different items is max they can get away with, probably
the consumables, since you cant escape the need for them.

and i know festool hates me speculating on what they plan to do!

Yes, well WOW when Festool Australia set that price earlier this year we were at parity with the US $!  [poke]

Fortunately we have discounting. It can be got from some dealers for around A$890.  [eek] [wink] [mad]

Maybe this year the Germans will put up their prices by 20% to counteract the deflationary pressure €urope is under [scared]
