A small CNC in the shop

I'm splitting off this thread from my 80/20 MFT/SYS cart because the more I use my little HandiBot CNC in the shop the more I appreciate having it. Like anything it had a learning curve but recently it has come in really handy in finishing up the cart, and now it is getting some use for other small projects. Small in this case is really small, as the work area it 6" by 8", although there is a way to tile the cuts for much larger projects. The recent focus has been on the small stuff, here are a few examples to get the conversation going:

Nice job on all of the stuff. Sometimes it's more difficult to make the small items as opposed to the larger items. You always have to be thinking 3 or 4 steps ahead when making small items because they always need to be held down or clamped to something to perform the necessary operations. The CNC makes this process so much easier...I want one.

Questions:
What are the yellow items next to the Veritas blocks?
I like the corner clamp that connects the 3 sides of the 80/20 cart for the TS. Didn't know they existed.  [big grin]
The black material used for the TS brackets, is that Delrin?

- Yellow stuff is 0.020" shim stock from McMaster. Come in 5" by 20" sheets in various thicknesses, I use it with the setup blocks.

- Yes - love those corner brackets, not cheap but I can modify them so the Festool clamps slide into the 80/20. The standard end fasteners hold by friction so over time (or when you repeatedly hammer on the top) they can move a little, these guys won't. I use them for the tops since they are the only thing preventing movement, on the bottom the caster plates keep everything the uprights from slipping under pressure/torture.

- Not Acetal, I think it is a poly or PVC but am not sure, something I grabbed cheap on eBay. Not too different from Acetal though.

Gotcha...the same as this stuff in .060, .020, .015 and .010. Pretty handy stuff.
