Since I am a very new member, it's possible that this can be done and I simply don't know how. I feel that the ability to set a bookmark on a specific post would be very helpfull. I've been reading so many tips, improvements, and suggestions that could be really great...Can I find them again when the time comes? Yes, I could search but a bookmark with the ability to jump to that bookmark specifically would not only serve as  memory jogger but be far faster and easier.

Thanks for all your hard work...

Jerre

I simply use bookmarks in my browser under an appropriately named folder to savethreads that are of interest for future reference purposes.  I find renaming them when I save them is useful.

Jerre,

I don't know of a way inside the forum itself to accomplish what you are looking to do.  I could be wrong.  The other posters have suggested alternate ways of accomplishing what you are looking to do.  I do similar.

Shane is the software guru and my guess is that he will visit and offer his thoughts.  He would know for sure.

Peter

P.S.  I loved the example above!

Hehe, I chose Peter's Fogtainer "Go" thread on purpose.  It makes me happy.   [big grin]

Anyway, here is how you bookmark a specific post:
Click the title of that post (right above where it says "Reply #xx on: {date}".
The text there doesn't look like a hyperlink, but it is.

The page will refresh and put that specific post right at the top as your landing point.
If you then bookmark that page (the URL really), then when you come back to that bookmark you will be right on that precise post.

For example, here is a great tidbit to know about a short hose adapter.  This link will take you mid-way into the thread to a specific post.  You could bookmark this and come back to this exact post:
http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-how-to/shop-vac-to-festool-hose/msg95465/#msg95465

Dave Ronyak's original post is also linked in here.  Again, his specific post is the target URL:
http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/ct-hoses/msg73834/#msg73834

Hope that helps
