While following threads and websites about hide glue I came across a website that might be an interesting stop for many.  The videos are well done.  I had posted a few video links about large logs in the past month or so.

Here is a link to another one.  Check out the site for other interesting videos.

Peter, I ran across Woodtreks last year. The videos are indeed excellent and informative. Unfortunately the site hasn't been updated since 2008, and once you run through what's there now, you're done.

A friend of mine (Fred West) liked it so much that he got in touch with Keith Cruickshank recently. He has been too involved with several other (paying) endeavors to spend time on his (free) site for woodworkers. He told Fred that he may get back to it soon.

I hope he does, he's very good at it.

Thanks John!

I guess that once I watch all the videos I won't hold my breath for a new one.

Rick Christopherson and I got into an off topic discussion yesterday on Eric Bugelns' Bow Clamp review.

I had mentioned a problem I had in constructing a veneer topped card table way back in HS.  Rick jumped in with some ideas for me to help with repairing.  The site above just provided me with a whole lot more info about applying veneer using hand tools.

For my project, at the suggestion from my shop teacher, I had constructed a press to clamp the veneer sheet down to the thin plywood base.  I am pretty sure I did not have the skills to do the way shown in the vid above, but I have just learned a whole new approach to doing the job. It's too late for the method to be applied to my old table, but I have a little better understanding about using old type hyde glue.

Thanks Peter.
