I've been drawing up some plans for Systainer storage under my MFT and after thinking that I had my final design, I went to my shop and started stacking systainers in various combinations to verify my height measurement. I discovered that, while the length (15-5/8") and the depth (11-5/8") are quite accurate, the heights, in the catalog, appear to be only a nominal measurement at best. The actual heights that I have come up with are as follows:
sys #1 4-1/4" catalog dimension 4"
sys #2 6-3/8" catalog dimension 6"
sys #3 ? catalog dimension 8" (I don't have a sys #3 to measure)
sys #4 12-5/8" catalog dimension 12"
I'm trying to maximize the number of systainers I can stack in a given enclosure and these dimensions have sent me back to the drawing board to modify my plan. Could someone please provide me with an actual height measurement for a sys #3? I'm trying to fit in a Sortainer, which the catalog shows as sys#3. The catalog, I have found, is not too reliable on the systainers used for the individual products. The router (OF 1400) for example, says it comes in a sys #4 (12"). In the accessories for the router it shows a sys#4 with an 8" height. I've run across several more of these examples so I'm a little skeptical of the catalog info.
Not the end of the world, but if someone could provide me with the sys #3 height, I would appreciate it. Big snow and ice storm hitting here tomorrow so I'm off to get supplies (wood).
