Adam Savage not a real woodworker

He builds a "clamp rack."


I put that in quotes, because it's really just a 2x4 screwed to the wall and he clamps the clamps to it. And the way he does it will make it hard to get certain of those clamps off, so he'll be removing clamps to get at the clamps he really wants to get at. I love Savage, but this was a real let-down.

Adam Savage is self admitted a pretty mediocre woodworker. His skills lie is doing a little bit of everything to make authentic looking props, and he is getting pretty serious in his metal working. But his real skill is in telling a story, be it Mythbusters or Tested (YouTube).

There are way too few real woodworkers. A while back I got second place in a city-wide competition for woodworkers.

Everyone else tied for first.
