I have slowly built up my collection of festool machines and have even bought Festool extraction hose, but I can’t afford a Festool vac and have 2 Karcher pro vacs. Does any one know of an off the shelf adapter to attach my Festool hose to a Karcher vac?

Have you tried your Festool hose in the Karcher? The tool ends aren’t standard BUT the vac ends are fairly uniform. The Festool hoses fit into vacs with a 2.25 inch opening. 57mm

The nozzle of the karcher vac fits nicely into the Festool hose but this results in a very long hose and the join is not tight so it can easily come apart when the vac isn’t on. Unfortunately the newer Karchers have quite a unique connector at the machine.

Have you tried removing the hose from the vac and just inserting the vac end of the festool hose into the hole?
I haven't tried it on a kärcher vac, but I have an older hitachi, where the standard hose locks on with a button, but the festool hose also fits inside the opening and works well. Same with my older spit/starmix, the standard hose for it goes over the opening in the vac and locks with a bajonet-type ring, but once removed the festool hose fits inside the opening and works well.

If you have the new fabric hose I think you are SOL.

If you have the older style Festool hose , Karcher makes a repair kit for their hoses that include both ends.  I do not know what diameter those hoses are so you'd need to verify that before starting out.  Festool hoses are 26 & 36mm.    If close in diameter , you can probably get the Karcher kit to fit on the festool hose.
