Before I had my Festool Vac, I used a Fein all the time. I bought several of the adapters and cut them down to size. On some tools (i.e., ATF), I attached the adapter and then ran some electrical tape around to ensure they stayed attached. I never had a bit of problem with the hose or adpater coming loose during use. The adpaters were like $2.99 fro Woodcraft, so pretty cheap fix.
I imagine this is the adaptor others are talking about. I used it to adapt my Domino to a Ridgid vac before getting a CT and it worked quite well. Considering it's a Fein product, I'd be shocked if the larger end doesn't fit their hoses. [smile]
I had my Fein vac before I got into Festool. I now have several sanders, a TS75, Domino, etc., and they all work fine with the adapter Fein adapter. It is semi-soft rubber, rather than hard plastic, and can be shortened to fit the tools. I bought about 3 of them, but seem to use the same one all the time.

I found this adapter one early morning (maybe 2 AM) browsing Amazon for new items to stock. Honestly, one of my proudest business moments. That thing is a JEWEL.
Not sure if this will work but I use one to adapt a common hose (orange Mr. Nozzle) to fit Festools. The smaller end is identical to the connector on my 27MM Festool hose.
