adhesive for composite decking

I'm building some chaise lounges for a customer and I'm going to use composite 2x4 material as it will be bullet proof outdoors. They don't make a 4x4 post in the material for legs so I'm going to have to make some by gluing a couple of the 2x4's together. What would be an acceptable adhesive for this application?  I also plan on running a few screws on the inside of the legs where they won't be visible.

Do you have a Menards down there? I know they carry them.

Pure speculation, as it's not something I've done, but a polyurethane glue would probably work well.
