Hey guys,
I´m having problems with the slider of my K700 Felder saw, its tilted so I have called Felder and some technician is due to call me back.
I´ve been thinking of how to solve this issue without some technician from Felder and just would to know if someone has adjusted the slider them selves and if they were pleased with the results.
What I´m thinking if it is a good idea to put a string of tape that is 3 mils thick on the cast iron table, then put my Veritas steel straight edge on top of the tape and then adjust the mounting studs under the slider until it touches the straight edge since the slider is supposed to be slightly higher than the cast iron table. My slider is mounted on two pairs of mounting studs so I would use two straight edges and have someone help me out checking one of the straight edges as I check the other one..
In a worst case scenario I would be obliged to have a technician come over..
What do you think? Have you got any tips? Better ideas?
