My snappy set arrived yesterday so I did a couple quick vids of them for a test.

I ended up getting the 4 Piece Cabinet Makers Set from Woodcraft.

A little redundant after the link, but here's what you get (sans CXS!). Overall, I'd say that they seat into the centrotec chuck a little easier than the Festool bits.

And I did find room for them in the Centrotec Installers Kit. I may modify some kaizen foam to hold them more secure:

The countersink seems to work fine, and I also tried the self centering with a hinge and it worked great. There is a bit of runout. I have to say I don't think it's the bits, and I don't see the Centrotec runout argument being satisfied here. If you watch the vid, you see the centrotec chuck is wobbling too.

First a countersink demo into QS white oak:

Not sure what that video was supposed to prove ?  I can see the drill waving about !

Which vid? The last two show it wobbling when spun freely.

Maybe set the drill on the bench while pulling the trigger???

you guys are funny! I think your misinterpreting a typical daily earthquake here.....

Seriously, I just put it on the bench with the same results.

If that's the case, run-out & wobble of any amount shouldn't be your biggest problem...  [big grin]

I thought I observed a wobbly drill not a wobbly output shaft or chuck?
