Oh, don't worry tigger, we've got many fruits and vegetables on here. Not me though, I'm more a bit cheesy.

Hi Cealan
Can also get from Sanco Tooling and ITM in Dyers Road. I wish I could have brought mine with.  [sad]

If we are to go by past experiences, then all new releases should be available early 2025!

Hey I'm over in Nelson, but really not that mad about the deal that us kiwi's get with festool gear compared to the rest of the world. I'm curious to know what it is from a New Zealanders perspective that sells you this brand over another when there is not half the all inclusive service benefits offered elsewhere and that the pricing of the tools doesn't reflect this?

cheers Dibnah

Hey Dibnah,

I hear you mate.  [sad] But, without sounding too arrogant, I know more about Festool than any dealer here or even the odd user I've met. So I don't really need their help on much except to get me Festool product through the importer. If they give me the old "outta stock" or "not stocked" , I just throw my toys and presto, they make a plan.  [big grin] But in NZ, this applies to most suppliers of any product.
I find that if you demand what you want and don't just accept whatever fob off they give you, then things do happen. My local dealer knows me now, so I'm not experiencing any real problems. They know to make the effort and do what they can to sort me out.
As for pricing, it really does come down to the volume they can sell here. Festool is still relatively unknown here so not much of a market. The price therefore also scares potential customers away and that's not helping them grow either.

Feel free to send me a PM if you need anything.

Cheers

Leon
