any tips or trick to doing crown

thanks to all the replys! i did one the pre assembled route- worked great! just nailing them together was really tough. i wish i had the 2p10. anything that i can pick up local that is close to the 2p10 stuff? i would like to have this done before the 4-5 days shipping would take me. here is a pic of one square done.

Nice job!  I don't know if you have a Woodcraft locally, but 2p10 is a formulation of "Super Glue".

i think this stuff will work as an accelerator for regular superglue (cyanoacrylate)

check at local art supplies stores and or craft stores

i would reccomend trying to find a gel type superglue (keep it away from the finished edge of the crown to prevent squeeze out)    you might even be able to get away with just superglue and no accelerator although it will take slightly longer to set up.

Tite Bond also makes a 2 part superglue

check with local tool shops, lumber yards and wood working stores

Looking good!!!    keep the pictures coming

CA glue, the big box stores have it. Just takes longer than 10 seconds to set.

finished this up the other day. setting up a board for the spring angle was a great help also. thanks again guys!

I do a lot of Crown Molding, and my 2 cents would be ;

Laser Tape Measure - Take all your room measurement at one time, and jot down your cut list.
Check all your inside and outside angles to make sure there 45 ish  ;D....adjust cuts as necessary
Figure where you want to start and end, in regards to making your copes least visible.
Make your cuts a tad strong, so you can get a spring fit !!
2p10 is your best Friend  ;D
