I just picked up a Rigid miter saw stand from HD for $99. It comes with two roller stands that I won't need. I plan on getting tables and a flip stop from http://www.sawhelper.com/ so I won't need them.

I'm thinking about attaching the stands to my MFT. I just need to figure out a way to do it. The stands each have a telescoping leg and an adjustable arm that attach to the miter saw stand. They aren't free standing. I've included a pic of the stands below, and was wondering if anyone had done anything even remotely similar to this. If so, please share.

You could attach a plywood gusset to the MFT's frame and then attach the horizontal tube to the gusset. However, something like this attached to the MFT acts like a lever. If that lever gets a bump it can rack the frame of the MFT and throw your fence out of square. Another roller arm attached in a similar way on the opposite side of the MFT will provide some resistance to that racking motion.
