[member=6610]jg24[/member] - that's what I call inspiration to get organized while many are restricted with moving about.
I also think its' a helpful post for woodworkers who never had occasion to work with plastics, acrylic and otherwise. The right blade or cutter and a whole new set of possibilities for fixtures, storage, etc.
With a FESTOOL GECKO slippery plastic can be handled well using track saws.
I used to be in the custom acrylic business. You can us the exact same wood working power tools to cut and shape acrylic. The one exception is maybe use a plastics blade for a table saw. Right now I do not even have a table saw. So, I used the standard TS55 track saw blade to cut this 3/8” cast acrylic.
Side note acrylic shavings go every where, and are very staticy.
What did you use for adhesive? Weld On 4. Acrylic is general bonded together. The Weld On (MethyleneChloride) causes the two surfaces to melt together.
