Best wood flooring for over conrete?

It's a little hard to tell from searching (there are a bunch of different types) but the livestock mats look like they might be just hard rubber formed with or without channels underneath. Better than a concrete floor but I don't think they would provide the same cushioning as anti-fatigue ??  My father's work shop has a rubber livestock mat to stand on (used to be for his horse trailer) it's 1/2" thick, 3'x 5', three interlocking sections. My experience is that it is only marginally better than the concrete floor. But I haven't stood on it for really extended periods. It also may not be the same as newer ones ???

I had one of those hard rubber mats, I think I got it from Tractor Supply, in a previous shop and found that it didn't help much.

Currently I have gotten one of those small mats that seem to be memory foam with a plastic cover like my wife uses in the kitchen.  I just move it where I need it.  These 70 year old feet and back really remind me not to forget it.  Because I sink into it, I don't notice any difference to the top of my work surface.
