Hi guys,
So I often use birch ply for my cabinet work and other projects.
I have a small shop so I only buy what I need when I need it as I don't have room for a pallet/bundle. A friend has just taken on a unit local to me so I now do have room to store a pallet load.
My current supplier Arnold laver in Reading, Berkshire has just increased its prices for birch ply. For example I was buying 18mm sheets for £39+vat and it has now gone up to around £48+vat a sheet. Similar price increase across all thickness.
My question really is where do you buy your birch ply from and have you noticed any increase in price recently? Also what kind of deal should I be expecting if I was to buy a pallet load? Is there much of a saving to be had?
I am planning on contacting a few suppliers next week like James Latham and Timbmet to see if they can help.
I'm based around he Oxfordshire/Berkshire area. So somewhere local we be helpful
Thanks
Jimmy
