Any of you guys ever use this tool,  is it worth it or is there something better out there?

Nate

Nate,

I have the earlier L model.

I don't leave home with out it.

Before that I had to use math.

I hate math.

I would also like to add that it has a neat memory function and in my dotage......

Thanks Per,  I have a ton of 6" base board an, and  just as much crown to do in a "new" constructed house.  And from what I have looked at so far the crew figured that using a square would just slow them down.(gotta love piece work)

i have one,i got it about 12 years ago.still work great.
i paid $20.00 new!
i deal with odd crown angle, makes my life a little easier.

I think it a great confidence builder. You can read the angle and go cut . It makes you faster because it makes you feel better and happy carpenters are productive. The only bad thing is sometimes it wont fit into small areas.

I own the Bosch Digital Angle Finder. I have found it to be a very handy aid in working with angles, particularly trim, but I was also using it to help me frame some really oddball inside angles this past week. I like it because it's accurate to a tenth of a degree, and it is very easy to read. When I'm running base and crown I'll go all the way around a room measuring and writing down the angle of every corner on the wall, underneath where the trim will sit. This really saves time in the long run! I also agree that its limitation is you can't use it in smaller areas. I don't regret the purchase  8)

You guys are  great.  It is nice to be able to bounce some ideas off  people who have a good idea of what makes a tool worth while.

Mike,

I got the one that comes in a nice case and with the  leg, I figured the case alone was worth the extra  $10.
