i was eyeing the Festool ts 55 req for a while and also I liked the mft3 table but I could not afford it and today after reading about price hikes after February 28 th I went straight at my local Leevalley and got the track saw with the Mft3 and it cost me nearly 1700$ with the taxes , I like the table and the saw , the only thing is I still have to buy the 110" track in order to be able to rip a 4x8 melamine sheets and I cannot afford it yet ( maybe next year) and can't wait to put it to work

Those were my first purchases as well. If money is an issue, there have been several recent threads about "home made MFT" that you could consider (but I have no idea if you can return an MFT with saw lines in it ???), which would let you get that rail.

Welcome to the FOG and a great first step into Green oblivion! The FOG has been my favorite Forum and morning ritual with my coffee. It not only has made me a better woodworker but a more enthusiastic one as well.Roman said:

It's now been close to one year and I still haven't purchased an MFT/3 however I have purchased a Domino 500, ETS-150/3, and CXS. My next purchase WILL BE an MFT/3 or..... maybe an OF-1010, Carvex, Vecturo....? [tongue] I've got to stop going to those Festool demos.
Thanks for the reply I will probably get the 75" track with 2 connectors, and for the vacuum I will buy the auto switch , you can plug the vac and the track saw and once you hit the trigger it will start the vacuum as well and it's only 57$ at leevaley because if I buy the Festool vacuum I will end up on the streets
I bought one of the auto-vac switches from Lee Valley recently and have yet to use it, aside from trying it out. I do have a CT36, but I thought it would be nice to have an additional auto-on vac and figured that was the cheapest way to get another, as I already had the shopvac.
Not sure where in Canada you are, but shortly after I bought mine from LV, I found them for $40 at Busy Bee Tools. Not sure if that price is still the same, but just a heads-up so you can hopefully save a few bucks.
Eventually I bought two Milwaukee auto-on vacs from Amazon in December for $80 each. They don't have variable suction, and they're not nearly as nice as the Festool, but I like not having to rig up the vac-switch. More food for thought.

The auto vac switch has a nice feature where you can plug the vac and the tool into separate 15 amp plugs in case the combination of the vac and tool kick the breaker. This has got me out of a jamb on job-sites when running the TS 75 and a large Fein vac would kick the breaker.
