I have a Kreg drilling jig for 32mm holes in cabinets. I don’t use it. The bit that came with the jig created objectionable tear out. I contacted Kreg and they sent me a new bit, but the tear out is just as objectionable.
Right now I am using the CMT drill guide with a 14mm bushing and a 5mm bit and my plunge router. It is slower to use than the Festool’s indexing with their router, but makes clean holes.
Hans at TSO said that they are coming out with an indexing device to use with my DeWalt compact plunge router and tracked guide. If it looks reasonable I might spring for one of those.
When I get home, I will try the Kreg jig with a brad point bit.
