Braided Sleeving and Heat Shrink Kits for hoses

I purchased some stuff to do this hose modification. I purchased in bulk to get prices down and am essentially passing along the savings.

I have the black PTN1.5 PET sleeving (1" to 2-1/8") and black 3" heat shrink tubing(2:1) for the ends. IIRC this size sleeving will work on either size of Festool hose, the Bosch 35mm Festool style hose, and the Mr. Nozzle hoses. etc. The heat shrink tubing is 3" and has shink ratio of 2:1.  

I'll price this at $16 shipped for a 10' length of sleeving and one 4-5" length of heat shrink tubing (enough for both ends). I can put together custom orders and lengths just shoot me an email.  PayPal for payment.

Alright here is the stuff...this is a Bosch 35mm Hose (Festool style) with the PET sleeving and a  2" section of heat shrink tubing on the end.

I've moved through over half of the braided sleeving and only have one section of 3"ID (2:1) heat shrink tubing left in stock.

I placed an order for some 2" ID (2:1) tubing and it should arrive Tuesday. So, I can begin taking orders for the 2" tubing and the 1.5PET sleeving.

I now have the 2" ID (2:1) heat shrink tubing available which will work with either hose although it's a bit nicer on the smaller hoses. I have more 3" ID heat shrink tubing on order and again it is 2:1 so it shrinks down to 1.5" which works nicely with the larger hoses. I recommend that you measure the outside diameter of your hose and consider what power cords, if any, will be running inside the heat-shrink tubing/sleeving . This will guide you on which size tubing will work best for you.

I still have quite a bit of the  1.5" PET braided sleeving. Again, this 1.5PET braided sleeving works will with either size hoses.

I have one section of large 3" HST (2:1) and six sections of small 2" HST (2:1) left.

If anyone out there is still interested I'll bump this up...

I now have a bunch of the black expandable 1-1/4" braided sleeving. This 1-1/4" sleeving works for either size hose. This is a better fit on the smaller hose than the 1-1/2" sleeving that I had in the past. This new 1-1/4" sleeving is a nice snug fit with the larger size hose along with one cord pre-run through the sleeving.

I also still have some 2" ID (2:1) heat shrink tubing available which will work with either hose although it's a bit nicer on the smaller hoses. I'll order some more 3" ID (2:1) heat shrink tubing which works nicely on the larger hose. I should have that in a bout a week.

Based on supplier price increase I need to bump the price on these packages slightly. So, the new price for a 10' section of 1-1/4" sleeving along with a 4-5" section of 2" or 3" heat shrink tubing will be $17.50 shipped.
Oh and to be totally upfront, unlike the first offering where I actually lost a little money, on this newest offering I am making a couple bucks on each transaction. Hopefully, that will help cover the costs when and if any problems occur and/or put a couple bucks in my pocket.  [wink]

I have both sizes (2" and 3" I.D.) of Heat Shrink Tubing on hand and ready to ship. Please measure your hose/cord diameters and identify what size HST you would like included with your order. Again, 2" ID HST works better with the smaller hoses and the 3" ID HST works better on the larger hoses.

As for the braided sleeving, the 10' length is designed to cover the majority of the hose on the tool end. The sleeving helps prevent the hose ridges from snagging on your workpiece and/or benches, etc. and also allows the cord to be bundled with the hose.  By design the 10' will leave a few feet on the vac side uncovered. If you want complete coverage, please measure your hose and cord length, see the pricing below and order a customized length. Also, I STRONGLY recommend using some tape/zip tees/ velcro straps etc. on the ends of sleeving to prevent it from unraveling during installation. Of course after installation the HST prevent the sleeving from unraveling.
