Broken CXS Right angle Chuck

The way it starts is a few months ago i bought festoons track saw…then the ct midi…then the 26, and then the CXS drill then the Kapex and the story goes on like this. It's a borderline addiction. I love the festal products but let my Boss borrow the CXS and he returned it with a broken Right angle chuck. The ring that locks to the drill had snapped and it would no longer stay fixed under torque. I bought the drill from woodcraft and brought it to them and within 10 minutes festool was shipping a replacement direct to my house The replacement arrived in 2 days. Needless to say i'v very impressed with the entire company.

I'm curious to know if anyone has had similar problems with their CXS and also the replacement chuck seems beefier to me. Did festal recognize this problem and fix it?

I'm not aware of any changes.  Perhaps it's possible they sent you a right angle chuck for the larger drills?  But it wouldn't fit the CXS.  Do you have any pictures of the two?

Post a photo for us so we can see the newer one. Then I can tell if it's different or upgraded
