TABLE TOPS and BENCHES

One will be made from walnut and the other mahogany.  I am using cut offs from a local furniture company.  Various length and widths, after they are all planed to the same thickness and they are jointed.....I will need to join boards end to end to achieve the lengths I need for the tops and aprons.  I have a domino 500, can I use the largest dominos to for this?  will the boards be strong enough?

BED

Same problem, same questions, especially for the side boards.

THANKS for your assistance and advice.

I think you'll be fine with the 10x50's and a good glue up clamping system. End to end can be the most difficult to glue up due to length. Stagger the joints as you glue up the edges to make the top and bench. A Domino in the edge grain on each side of the joint into a solid area of the mating piece will compound the strength of the joints.

The apron will also help strengthen the glue up against vertical loads.

thanks... i for got to mention that the walnut is 3/4 inch, i wonder if these boards edge to edge with dominos is strong enough as a bench seat that possibly 3 people can sit on.?  I probably would need a substantial apron to carry the weight.  Correct?????  The mahogany is 1 inch, but may face the same strength issue.

With staggered joints it should work. Join some up and try it.
