i just bought some stuff(2 tlocs , parralel guides MM insert, sand paper etc ;D). i  struggled to keep this under 365 euro(limit on 3v voucher card). i got it to about 1 pound off of the GBP of 311(as close as i could). when i went to pay it didnt charge me vat on either the pay pal part or the 3v part.
should i expect a bill or is this right. if so i should have bought more.

also this site says free carrage over 30 GBP. does this include ireland. axminister does, free.

whats going on

Alan,

Buying in Ireland & shipping from the UK, you should still be paying VAT as you're in the EU. I suspect it's just an oversight, and Bunny's will probably correct it shortly.

As for the carriage, I think you need to ring Bunny's & ask them, rather than asking here.

+1 you are best asking Bunny Bolts!

Hes sound just tell him to package your goods properly! As he aint really good at doing that! And so not his fault but in a way it is cus  the delivery men are often a little rough with packages and easily damage your goods if they are packaged better it wouldnt happen so both bunny and delivery company r to blame.

I got two Protools from Bunny and both systainers where damaged and needed sending back because he had not put anny padding around the systainer just a tight fitting cardboard box the same size as the systainer so I got two parcels as the  Dealer I use most often I never  had a damaged parcel once as he would use a much larger box which will hold 2 or 3 systainers filed with air bags and small boxes and I almost buy something from him almost every week my delivery man knows me very well now! I gave him £20 for christmas for a thank you hes a good delivery man even locks the gate with the pad lock even though we have left it open if he leaves the parcel when no one is in!! lol!

recieved an email from bunnys today saying that they dont ship to ireland. bummer [crying]

I have had stuff damaged/missing from bunnys bolts. But the worst thing was not knowing if your stuff had been dispatched and when it would arrive.
But that seems to have changed as I got the... your goods will be with you between 1 and 2 which is nice I just had some vac bags delivered with the boxes mashed. [sad]

Try Rexcrystals

www.rexcrystal.co.uk

Rexy delivers all over europe as often its cheaper in England so he tells me any way.  Also if you order in the morning nearly always get the delivery the next day if he has it in stock well I do at the most the day after. Your in Ireland so will take longer of course.

He does Protool now I convinced him with the Protool autofeed gun! He wouldnt get the stuff but I showed the Autofeed gun and he bought 2 to try and sold both so now he deals with protool as he found out its the same customer service because you just go through festool reps.

Ireland is in the EU so should do no?

looked at rex crystals site.
i cant see any t locs. are they there and just hidden.

No you have to call him up!  He does not keep his site fully updated I told him many of times but he says it takes ages to get it up onto the site he will do it eventually. I told him he looses customers because of it and your a prime example!  bunny bolts just puts a picture name and price but Rex often puts more detail about the tools.

Give him a call 2 moro he has T-locs cus I got 2 brand new T-locs 4's couple weeks ago.   Tell him you were recommend by James Brett!  Might give you good deal but also looks good on me! [tongue]

His name is NICK so ask for Nick when you call up!

Ha yeah he always calls me Jimi! lol  so you didnt buy the T-locs?  Thats a good price aint it 7.50? or not?  Cus 4 T-locs would cust more than 75GB no?!    I knew he would ship to you strange why Bunny Bolts wont.

I have bought a few things from Bunnysbolts in the past and found them good but I only live down the road to them so most times I have collected the stuff. Regarding stuff coming in thin cardboard boxes I imagine thats just how they come when delivered to Bunnys and Warren just sends them on. I bought a mungo systainer 4 once from him and that just arrived in a brown tight fitting box but it was fine no damage. I found Warren to be a nice person but very scatty ie I wanted a Senco compressor from him and was told "oh you need the next model up" a few weeks later I ring to see if he has them in and get told yes. I drive 45 minutes to check them out and get told "oh no you need the next model up "  GGGRRRR ::) >:( so I never bothered going back again even though his shop does seem to sell everything.

It is what they come in!  I spoke to RexyCrystals about it and he said it sounds like he (bunnybolts) just sends them in the boxes Festool put them in.  He said they are crap and he put them in his own larger boxes with protection.

Exactly JMB , the Mungo one I got awhile back came by courier from bunnys and the box it was in was an exact fit for the systainer 4 so I imagine thats what they got it in I think it had bubble wrap or air bags inside the systainer I cant see what that was supposed to do  [laughing]. I ordered a 2700 rail from them but they delivered that in their own transporter van and didnt use a courier as Im pretty local ish to them.

I was just talking to warren I wanted two 2.7 guide rails and a 1.4 lr32 the small lr32 kit and quick release clamps but he was not interested in discounting or price matching. and basically told me to go away [big grin].

so its nice to know that festool dealers are not feeling the pinch..

I bought my domino off him and my last order was for 4 lots of bags for the ct mini and it will be the last thing I buy off him.

I know what you are saying! The thing is he says it in a very calm manner kinda like you feel he will easily be convinced to give you discount if you keep on trying but he does not budge 1 bit!    Thats why I love RexCrystals as long as your buying 2 or more things he often gives ME amazing Discounts but I am his GoldMemeber [poke] seen as about 80% of my tools are bought from him.

Example I cnt remember prices but I looked ALLLLL over the internet and found a couple websites cheaper than him he so he sold it me for £10 less than the cheapest web site THEN top if of he gave me a free Milwueakee M18 batterie! Does not always do that kinda thing but I have bought a few things so he sorts me out good! but He will always matches the lowest price I can find on the internet which to me is fair enough he dont always have to give me something free or be cheaper (we all have to make a living)because I know if I have a problem he sorts it out quickly so aslong as I am not paying more than some where else I am happy paying the lowest price I can find he dont have to beat it (but its nice when he does)! Thats what I like about Rexy though if you stay loyal he will give you good prices and service is right at the top. Also he is well up to date with festool which you would think would be the norm!

BUT

I went to my LOCAL dealer this Saturday wanted some sand paper for my Rotex!  He said no problem come with me what grit do you want he asked I said 80 rubin please or maybe brillaint  I said which is better?  I think rubin is cheaper so ill go with that.  He said I dont have a clue what the difference is between the two mate.  I said hold on I want it for the Rotex90! He said whats that. I only got 125 and 150.  I said seriously you aint heard of the Rotex90?  HE said Nope. So I had to go with the 150 kinda sucked!

+1 for me on Powertoolworld.... very good

-1 for me - bought some stuff off them a few months ago. They were the cheapest for a couple of accessories which is why I bought there. I found the customer service to be severely lacking.

I've posted it before, but I'll quote myself here:

jonny round boy said:
They do seem to be the cheapest, that's why I ordered some stuff from them a few months ago. Unfortunately in my case, the service was absolutely abysmal. In brief:

They showed several items as being in stock when they weren't;
They failed to tell me they weren't in stock until I contacted them several days later to find out where my stuff was;
They then promised me a delivery date which they then failed to meet;
They failed to tell me that their promised delivery wasn't going to arrive when they said it would, until I rang them again;
They then told me the stuff was still in Germany & would be another week;
When I complained & told them I wanted to cancel, they suddenly 'discovered' that they could supply me the stuff next day;
I eventually got my stuff 2 weeks after placing the order.

To add insult to injury, a few days later they e-mailed me to ask me for any "feedback I might have on their general service" (presumably an automated e-mail). I wrote a long reply detailing what had gone on, and pointed out the problems I'd had. Within minutes of sending the e-mail, I got an error message back saying it was undeliverable. I tried again, same result. I then forwarded the e-mail to a second address I got from the website. Same result.

Finally, I used the contact form on the website to tell them I was having issues with the addresses I had, and could they e-mail me back from an address that worked. Surprise surprise, I heard nothing.

Powertoolworld, in my experience, suck....

Jmb I spoke with peter at slingers they quoted  good prices and they provide a good service I just though it would be greener to buy the bloody things localy

rather than dragging them all over the country..But I might give your guy a try where is he based?
