c drill

I doubt it, with all the protool being converted to festool I guess they have their hands full  for some time

I think at some point a C18 will be added to the expanding Festool 18v line. But don't count on it to be in the near future.

I bought a C15 a few weeks ago, I initially planned to buy a C12 because I thought it would be smaller. Then I went to my local Lee Valley only to see that they were the exact same size.

I haven't put my new C15 to good use yet, I use a Metabo drill almost daily at work and my tools are home are neglected and barely used  [crying]. However, one thing I noticed right away was that the 3Ah battery it came with feels kind of oversized for the drill. I feel as though I should've bought a 12V 1.5Ah battery for it just to reduce the weight. If I grip the drill the way it's meant to be gripped (closer to the top of the drill) it doesn't feel well balanced, it feels a lot better gripping it lower because of how it's weighted (I notice this more when it's held above my head or sideways).

So, I wasn't surprised to see that new C15 drills don't come with 4.2Ah batteries (as confirmed in the thread below).

So no updated C15 with a sys2 and 4.2 battery?

No.

It's no surprise to me that a C18 version of this drill doesn't exist, I imagine that the additional weight of the extra cells in the 18V battery pack would be a detriment to the C-style drill much the same way the 15V 3Ah battery already is (this is my perception, I'm sure others disagree). But I have to admit, I don't know the official reason for this, that's just my best guess.
