-Made this for my ct22. The top shelf is canted down so I have a place to safely lay what ever tool I'm using
-Shelf under the angled tool shelf is for clamps. That's about all that would fit there.
-All the rest of the shelves are adjustable for height. They also have the shelf pins mounted on one side so the shelf will not slide out.
-I'm making simple drawer boxes for specific items, dominos, biscuits, sandpaper, router bits, all the loose items I need close at hand.
-Drawers have dividers to keep everything neat and organized.
-Wasn't sure how I would want to change this thing down the road, so I used screws and biscuits, no glue, and used adjustable shelves instead
of something more permanent.
-The pvc pipe boom is something I borrowed from another member (sorry, can't remember who). I just scaled it down and mounter right on the cabinet.
-You can see the old sash weight I used from a window.
-On the side is a reel to hold the cord
-The bottom of that reel is designed as a handle for when I have to remove the cabinet
-Cabinet is removable so I can take the vacuum out for installations.
-Notice the 3/8 steel pins I epoxyed into the bottom of the cabinet. They work like the square pegs on the systainers. I know, round peg, square hole, guess I failed that test in kindergarten.
- None of the pvc is glued. there is one screw holding the what touches plywood in the mount. all the rest is just friction fit. again, wanted to be able to pull this apart and redesign.
by the way, could'nt add more than a few photos, will try breaking this up into two postings, too bad festool doesn't build web sites as well as they do tools.
