Carpet seaming question

Does anyone have an estimate on what it costs to reseam carpet?  I am pulling up a 10x10 piece of carpet to fix a floor, then would like to reseam with the existing carpet.

Most rental centers have rental seamers.  I would also look at carpet stretchers.

I'd try to get ahold of the installer for a nearby carpet co, around here I could get it done for about $50 cash or less, that should take about an hour including the smoke break.

I agree with Paul.

A good carpet guy can make it look a lot better than I can. 

It's always been cheap for me to have it done.

Thanks.  I have enough work around the house to do without doing the carpet.  I will call around, but at least this gives me some idea.
