Carvex accessory kit Felt base

Hi Guys

I love this forum i dont post much but enjoy reading it all the time.

How well does you felt stick to the base of the carvex stick fix base? As well as say sand paper to a ets150 sander?

When i stuck the felt on it feels like its about to fall off it doesnt stick very well at all.

yep it feels like its about to fall off on both sides, the base itself hook and loop is fine i can stick sand paper to it but just wondering if i got a bad batch of felt or if that the way it is suppost to be.

I thought the same thing at first and then I tried to pull it off. It's not too easy to remove...

Take the blade out and press it down on a flat surface , sticks better.

I haven't compared the StickFix base closely with StickFix sanding pads, but I suspect the hook and loop might be a little less aggressive for a reason... if they stick through the felt that would defeat the purpose. It would allow them to scratch the finished surface. The weight of the tool is going to keep the felt from going anywhere and I've not found the connection of the felt to be inadequate in my own use or the use I've seen by others.

I have to say, when I tried to stick the felt base on, it didn't stick very well at all.  I haven't put it to use yet, but on a stick scale of 1 to 10, I'd have to rate it at a 1 for stick.  If I press the base into the holder to pick up a felt, the felt sticks in one or two places and barely hangs on well enough for me to pull it out of the holder.  I'll give it another try to see if it will stick better.
