carvex base for guiderail?

Hi guys just a small one, just got my carvex and the bases and what is the small green plastic thing on the festool strap? oh by the way it rules. so cool. best jigsaw ever.

That little piece is used to lock the switch in the on position if it is used in the CMS unit I believe.

sorry guys i was a bit vague before the green thing on the strap comes with the base which fits onto the guide rail

The pin to hold the circle cutter in place? It slides out of the circle cutter.

Think Peter is correct , it may fit on the rail but its for locking the switch. I had no idea what it was for either [smile]

The "key" that holds the trigger to the on position for the Carvex for use in the Carvex looks more like this and comes on a strap.

Do not rub it in. Festool USA canceled, the June 2011 release of, the Carvex here in the USA. So we can no longer get the Carvex. So we are all disappointed!

6th picture down from the top is the key!

The Key is completely useless for CORDLESS carvex.  Its for the CORDED version only to keep its switched on even if you was to turn the power supply off by unplugging  it from the wall or have its on the CMS and switch it of at the power control unit on the CMS the jigsaw will turn back on when you turn the power back on.  As with out the key you would then have to turn the carvex back on again which would be annoying!

I made the best of it (Carvex Postponement) and bought a Festool Trion Jig saw.  [big grin] and it is a GREAT jig saw.
