First post here and wanted to share my version of a fixed boom arm in my shop. Lookedat several builds and decided to
make one that would hang down from the ceiling instead of being mounted to the bench or dust extractor. I wanted it to
spin freely 360° and be long enough to reach a good portion of the center of my shop. With scrap wood I built one that
extends down below my air purifier and has a 7' reach and is 7.5' off the floor. Only piece purchased was the 5$ lazy susan
turn table to mount the pivot to. I still have to decide if I want to use the 2" pvc boom as part of the DC flow are just buy
a new hose and run thru it.

looks good, do you plan on plumbing it in to your existing dust collector or do you have a dedicated CT? If you use a CT where do you plan on placing it? Thanks.

I have a CT 26 and will you it for the table top work, I am going to install the oneida dust deputy for the festool CT and make a distribution box with gates. One for the boom arm, one for the router table and one for the OSS. I may scale down my auto blast gates for my big machines and see if I can incorporate it for routing the DC flow from each machine when powered on.

[welcome] to the FOG!

Nice project, and great first post. Let us know how it works out...

Does this just carry the hose through it or will it be an extension to the hose? I'd like to do something similar I think cause I find the hose to be a PITA sometimes.

The 2" pipe is part off the vacuum path. I have finished it and will post some more photos tomorrow.
